• Weighing less than 110 pounds
• Under age 17

• Hgb lower than 12.5

• Spent more than 6 months in the UK between 1980 and 1996
• Presently on antibiotics
• Has been in Iraq in the last year
• Tattoos are now permitted if done in a licensed facility
• Travel to countries with risk of Malaria
